I have recently seen jewelry that in Bollywood films such as Umrao Jaan w/ (Aishwariya Rai) the jewerly/hair piece goes on one side of the hair. I also saw Aishwariya wear similiar hair piece in song video for Kajre Re. What is this type of hair piece called and were can I buy one like it?
I THINK it’s just a ‘maang tika’ but pinned to the side.
What it basically is is a… chain, I guess, with a ‘pendant’ on the end that you normally wear on your parting so the ‘pendant’ part rests on your forehead.
I think she’s just simply pinned it to the side of her head.
I don’t know where you live, but if you go to any Indian clothing/jewellery shop and ask for one OR you simply say "I want that hair thing that Aishwariya Rai wears in blah blah" I’m sure they’ll be able to help you! Trust me, they’ll easily know what you’re talking about if you simply mention her name, the movie and the song!

What I mean by this, is not initially like superman or batman. But a hero who can fight off villains all by themselves, as in strength power. By most, I mean if you take 10 films which involved a hero fighting a villain or villains, atleast 7 of those films, he was able to defeat them by strength.
They had that in older movies where action was the big thing. The newer movies today are mostly comedy. Some recent I can think of that your talking about is Tashan and Kaante.
It bugs me so much to the point that I feel like leaving Bollywood films behind forever. Women in Bollywood films are shown as beautiful, weak and pathetic, chained to the bloody sink and unable to raise their voice or have an opinion in almost every scenario. What sort of flipping feminism is this that promotes this pathetic type of woman? I must admit that I realise the more recent films do show women in a more positive light but consider how many Bollywood films glorify the Indian woman, showing her as a true heroine for a reason other than falling in love. Exactly – very few. Hollywood films are more diverse, do not glorify the white beautiful woman with all that deviate being cast in negative roles. Ok, rant over – just needed to get that off my chest – women are not mere sex objects
because in eastern culture, that is how women are supposed to be. if women were portrayed as strong and dominant, it would go against that culture and people probably wouldn’t be able to relate to movies like that, therefore nobody would watch them.
