How do I burn films on to dvd?

April 272010

Posted in dvd films | 5 Comments »

What program(s) do I need? (And where can I download it/them for free?!)
What format do the films need to be in? Etc?
And finally what type of discs do I need? (I’ve bought some DVD-R 4.7 gb. are these ok?)

Please give step by step instructions…and thanks in advance!!

Try Nero an excellent DVD/CD package you can download it from Limewire a P2P sharing program

The discs you require depends on your disc drive whether it’s + or -, if both then it doesn’t matter.
DVD+R or DVD-R or (DVD+RW or DVD-RW)

im using burn 4 free for films and just wondering why the films only playback on certain dvd players and not on all my dvd players is there something that needs to be done wot im not doin

You need to make a video-dvd for them to work. In fact, it depends on the DVD-player itself. Mine can’t play dvds that aren’t video-dvd type. Try it like this, if it doesn’t work then I don’t know

Typeface Trailer: Coming to DVD Spring 2010!

April 222010

In rural Wisconsin, a lone employee waits in a cavernous old museum for visitors to come. A few individuals straggle in every few days and then, come Friday, the museum fills with life. Machines hum, presses print, artists buzz about. One weekend each month, the quiet of Two Rivers is interrupted as carloads of artisans drive in from across the Midwest. The place comes alive as printmaking workshops led by, and filled with, some of the nation’s top design talent descend on the sleepy enclave.

In a time when people can carry computers in their pockets and watch TV while walking down the street, Typeface dares to explore the twilight of an analog craft that is freshly inspiring artists in a digital age. The Hamilton Wood Type Museum in Two Rivers, WI personifies cultural preservation, rural re-birth and the lineage of American graphic design. At Hamilton, international artisans meet retired craftsmen and together navigate the convergence of modern design and traditional technique. But the Museum¹s days may be numbered. What is the responsibility of artists and historians to preserve a dying craft? How can rural towns survive in a shifting industrial marketplace where big-box retailers are king?

Can i download my dvd films on to my i phone?

April 212010

Posted in dvd films | 2 Comments »

just wondering if it was possible and how i wud be able to do it if i could ????

its possible but illegal. Copyright protects dvd’s from being copied to anywhere. The way to do it would be to use a program to first rip the dvd onto your computer then after its on your computer you would convert it into mp4 format (i think that’s what iphones play) then transfer that file to your iphone.

is it possible to copy my vhs films onto dvd using a dual recorder?

…….and if so how do i do it cos my vhs take up waaaaaaaaayy too much space!

YES you can do this, but instead of going into complicated scientific mechanisms, or explanations on how to do it with standard equipment that’s most likely outdated anyways, I suggest that you go out to BestBuy or CircuitCity, or a store that deals with electronics, and you buy yourself a new DVD player, or machine that is capable of this action. MANY are, and it’s very easy to do.

How can I put my films from windows movie maker into a recordable dvd ?Can some one help me please ?

well you need a computer that can write dvds, and you need a blank dvd, and you also need to look at the "Taskbar". It will give you instructions.

If i produce a DVD using films submitted to me by independent artist will i have to pay them a royalty fee?

If i do, please add where to find the info. I know in the music industry, you have to, but I’m not sure about the movie indrustry. Thank you

No, because Independent means they dont have a company backing them.

BUT you would need to get permission from that person in writting.
