Does anyone know any good gay films/movies about young boys (coming of age films) around 11-15ish? ?

May 112010

Does anyone know any good gay films/movies about young boys (coming of age films) around 11-15ish? I keep hearing about films concerning older teens (17,18) or grown men. The only movie I’ve seen so far with younger boys is Billy Elliot, and there are only two scenes that explore this theme.

Thanks for all your help!

What are the best gay story lines from the movies and films?

May 62010

I watched Hollyoaks and Corrie’s stories on YouTube which involved Craig / Jean-Paul and Todd / Sarah Lou. They boosted my morale and I was wondering what other story lines are out there orientated around being gay that I could watch?

What does one-dimensional and sub-plot mean in terms of films/movies?

May 42010

I’ve checked the internet and the definitions aren’t really clear…please help.

One dimensional means essentially only one thing is happening. Nothing more nothing less.

Pretty much it means if you are reading this somewhere about a movie?

It sucked.

Sub Plot, means other then the main storyline there are little ones happening all around.

Battle of Midway

May 12010

Oscar Winner: On June 4-6, 1942, a large Japanese force attempted to capture Midway Island in the North Pacific, but was defeated by U.S. forces with a loss ratio of 4:1 in favor of the Americans. On hand was a crew of naval photographers directed by John Ford; their documentary footage was edited together with narration by Hollywood actors. The film covers the attack on Midway, some limited aerial footage, the search for survivors, and aftermath of the battle.

how does films gets sceened at the movies and also how does it get sceened on tv ?

April 302010

Does all the films get sent to the movie and tv company and they get picked or what do they do ?

I’m not exactly sure what you’re asking here.

I run a five screen movie theatre. Each week we choose which movies we want to open based on what’s coming out and what we expect to do business. When making our choices, we have to take into account the on-going popularity of movies we are already playing. We also have to consider what the studios will charge us for the movies and any minimum run requirements.

Because we only have five screens, there are often movies we just don’t have room to play and that’s the way it is. If something we missed is popular, we may bring it in a few weeks later when we have room. But more often than not we don’t play it if we don’t get it the opening weekend.

My theatre still used 35mm film projectors for all five screens. The films are delivered to us in cans or boxes containing a bunch of 20 minute long reels – the number varies by the length of the movie. We then splice these small reels into one big reel to run through the projector.

The movie industry is in the process of switching over to digital projection where movies come on hard drives and are projected with high resolution digital projectors. Down the road, the movies may be delivered by satellite or over encrypted internet connections.

I don’t know anything about how television deals are worked out.
