May 212010
The Western Australian township of Yallingup presents a unique slice of “Down Under” life and culture to ever increasing numbers of vacationers and tourist. With a population only slightly more than 1000 this region has long been one of Australia’s best kept secrets. This beautiful, scenic paradise was given its unusual name because of the natural charm and spectacular landscape it possesses. These idyllic qualities of the land were the main reasons it was christened Yallingup which is an aboriginal term that means “a place of love”.
The popularity of this Aussie destination has been increasing at a phenomenal rate, especially in the last few years. It is known as a prime location to enjoy some exciting surfing and fishing along the coast. Three Bears Beach is a favorite spot for water lovers, but there are some other great places to hit the surf, including Smith’s Beach, Yallingup Beach and Injidup Beach.
