There is no such thing as a dvd cassette. What do you expect an electrical outlet to do besides supply AC current?
If you want to copy home recorded vhs tapes to dvd the easiest solution is a combination dvd/vhs recorder. See below for examples:
http://www.amazon.com/s/?ie=UTF8&keywords=dvd+recorder%2Fvhs+combo&tag=googhydr-20&index=electronics&hvadid=3145603451&ref=pd_sl_9korej7bab_b
Commercial VHS tapes are copyguarded with a process called macrovision to prevent them from being duplicated readily

Your question is a bit confusing, but here goes:
As I understand it, you have material that you have recorded on videotape, probably from TV broadcasts. You now want to transfer this material to DVDs. If that’s the case, there should be no problem. You will need to have a DVD "burner" in your computer. If you don’t have one already, they only cost about $40 or so for an internal drive, or under $100 for an external one. Alternatively, you can buy a stand-alone DVD recorder (like a VCR except that it records onto DVDs) and use that to copy your tapes onto DVD. Connect your VCR’s Output connectors to the recorder’s Input connectors – this usually requires 3 cables, typically color-coded red, white and yellow. Play your tape, and start the DVD recorder, and you’re off to the races.

"can I buy blank dvd cassettes…?"
No.
That is because they do not exist.
