@FollyxXxFallen, Dakota happens to be the exact same age of the character she is playing here. When they started Cherie Currie was only 15. Come to think of it i bet Cherie herself was probably pretending to be a grown women at the time, maybe Dakota was actually going for that feel.

Lots of young …
Lots of young actresses aren’t as fortunate as Dakota with the amount of roles they were able to reel in, even if it is based on talent. Just because Kristen hasn’t been in as many varied films doesn’t mean she has no range. We have yet to see what she can do before we judge that.

the character Dakota is playing in the movie is/was 15-16, same age as she is, so she’s not playing a grown woman, Cherie Currie was made up and looked alot older than her age, Dakota looks the same with the hair and makeup too, she’ll actualy do better than Kristen as far as I’m concerned because she’s a better actress overall to begin with. Kristen has no range, Dakota already proved she does with the different and varied roles she’s played over the years. Kristen sucks!

I think she gets …
I think she gets some of the “toughness” down. But I’m still unconvinced. She’s so young, she seems like she’s auditioning for the part instead of actually in the movie, I can’t explain it. It has nothing to do with her acting skills. She just seems like a young girl trying to play a grown woman and it’s not working for me. She just seems too young. Though I agree I think Kristen works perfect.

yeah something is wrong with you if you think that Dakota Fanning is not touch enough for her part.. this girl is know for her amazing acting abilities.. at such a young age she was acting with top name actors..

then i googled them adn saw they made amovie about them.
with my favorite actress, Dakota Fanning.
And Kristen Stewart.
