Drop Dead Fred is a 1991 comedy film released by New Line Cinema, produced by PolyGram Filmed Entertainment and Working Title Films and directed by Ate de Jong. Rik Mayall stars as the title character, the imaginary friend of Elizabeth, played as an adult by Phoebe Cates.

The supporting cast includes Marsha Mason, Tim Matheson, Carrie Fisher, and Ashley Peldon as young Elizabeth. The film centers on an introverted young woman who is reunited with the imaginary friend of her youth, often with manic and unpredictable results.

   because the young Elizabeth was born in 1984 and I dont think it would take from 1987 (when she would be 3) up until 1991 to produce the movie. I just think she looks REALLY young for her age..I could’nt believe she was 7,I was nothing as small as her when I was 7.

   @Moviestar20 who knows when the filming for this started though. A lot of the time movies aren’t released for quite some time after the filming is done. But still, she did look young.

   the young Elizabeth played by Ashley Peldon looks like she’s just turned 3!! when I found out she was born in 1984 I realized she was 7!!! OMG she is SO small for her age!!!
