Oddly, I like Hanks’ portrayal in "Apollo 13" the best.

Forrest Gump easy, but he does have a lot of good ones.
Saving Private Ryan
Big
Joe Versus the Volcano
Catch Me if You Can
Apollo 13
The Davinci Code
are all some of my more favored films of his

"The Money Pit". I’m sorry, this is apparently not popular opinion here. But he was just so freakin’ cute & funny. I loved "Forrest Gump", but I much prefer a cute & hilarious Tom Hanks to a dramatic Tom Hanks.

I’ve loved Tom Hanks since I first saw him in the mid-1970’s (Opps LOL, telling MY age!) So far, hands down his best is FORREST GUMP with PHILADELPHIA a very close second.

I have many favorites of his, but loved The Terminal, he showed a lot of depth in that one and not just his funny side.

Tom Hanks is an extraodinary actor – and I’m not usually a person who’s a huge fan of any one person. He’s done so many good films that it’s hard to choose just one. I really like "Forrest Gump," "Philadelphia," and "Castaway", which were probably his best acting – but I think my favorite film was "The Green Mile." It seems to be one of those that I can watch over and over, and enjoy no matter how many times I see it.

Hands down, Philadelphia!!!!! I don’t think I knew an actor go that deep within to truly become a character, until I saw that movie. I had a cousin to die from AIDS as well and he captured "IT". I will never forget his performance in that movie!

*The Green Mile (buy as gifts all the time)
*Forest Gump
*Big
* Splash
Sleepless in Seattle
Philadelphia- he gained my respect for drama.
* these were dvd’s must owns. I watch them on rainy days or when I need inspiration! I must admit "Big" was my favorite for many years. "the tiny corn" scene still makes me laugh.
I have enjoyed him since the TV days, When he dressed in "drag" in Bosum Buddies. He really has become an american icon huh! Great Question!

It may not be too popular either, but I enjoyed him in Road to Perdition. The Terminal wound up being better than I thought it did. Excellent all-around good actor.

The Terminal! It really proves that he’s an incredibly great actor! Just give him a role and he can bring it to life naturally! I bet Tom Hanks is the greatest actor in Hollywood!

Yes, Forrest Gump. That was one of his best, but I also loved the Money Pit, and that movie just doesn’t get the credit it deserves.

I love Tom Hanks and all his films but nobody’s film compares to Forrest Gump. He’s the only one in Holywood who went to the same college as me.
